Not Another Berry Smoothie

Here is another quick and easy smoothie recipe. It comes out kind of tart, but feel free to add sugar, yogurt or a second banana to your liking to sweeten it up a bit. It is a really rich purple color and like I said, very tart due to some of the berries.

1 cup orange juice
1 full banana
6 strawberries
15 raspberries
15 blackberries

BLEND!

As easy as always. I'm thinking that I'm going to start exclusively taking pictures with my camera as the quality is far better (you can see that in the previous post). I want this blog to be top notch as it's not only for the readers, but it's kind of like a creative memory and reference blog for me. The only reason I was using my phone is because there is an app on there and I can just put the pictures through it that way and come back to the edited post later to complete. Oh well. It will be well worth the work.

Indie-Go-Go Smoothie

Feeling blue or just in the mood to drink it? Here is an easy smoothie for you!

1 cup of orange juice
1 small hand full of spinach
2 small hand fulls of blueberries
8 blackberries

BLEND!

Your final result is a pretty hue of purple, which is fun to look at and fun for kids to eat!

B-B-B-Bonus tip: Fruit going bad after you've just set it out? Some fruits and veggies produce a gas called ethylene as they ripen, but this can cause other fruits to ripen faster as well. Keep your ethylene-producing fruit in a separate fruit bowl in another location. Popular examples of ethylene-producers are; bananas, melons, peaches, tomatos and avacados (among others! This is a good site to see a full list on both varieties!) Popular examples of ethylene-sensitives are; apples, watermelon, potatoes, and carrots.
